DeluZion Debut
(Taffy Shalamar and Daphne Ruth Jenkins hangin' with the boiz at FuZion.)
Well it had to happen sooner or later. The call of the spotlight finally lured me out of my hibernation here in Looseville, Kentucky. The ethereal Adaysha Skye asked me to join Dementia and the cast of DeluZion for a special pre-4th of July performance show at FuZion Night Club.
Taffy and I got there nice and early to set up and relax with a few adult beverages before the show started. Good thing we did too, because the poor go go boys were just starved for attention. Don't you fear though, they had their hands full with Taffy.
Always one to support the arts, I naturally had to do my part as well to donate to the cause. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to find any hot water to go with the "tea bag" I received. And let me tell you, those boys were talented. They really gave it their all for their art. I swear, Twinkelleta here made more costume changes than the drag queens.
Well, it was eventually my turn to work the crowd. For my first number, I pulled out my Lolita/slutty Catholic school girl look and worked the hell out of Morningwood's "Babysitter". I've been just aching to perform that song for the past year and was thrilled to finally do it up right. At one point, I even grabbed a baby out of the audience from Taffy and proceed to toss it into the crowd. I also had a naughty little bit where I pulled a rattle out of my panties and gave it to Luscious Lane as he tried to tip me. Good times, good times!
For my second number, I dressed as an androgynous dark faerie and performed to "I Don't Wanna Fall In Love" by She Wants Revenge. It's been a really long time since I did a song with a male vocalist. I got to threaten the audience with my flogger and even gave Taffy a little spanking at one point. Is there anything that girl won't do?
At the height of the number, I pulled my bustier off, revealing my coal black nipples. I then dropped to the floor and started banging on the stage with my hands to the beat of the song. Apparently, I did this so hard it was louder than the song and made the crowd jump. I'm glad it had an effect, because my hands were bruised the next day from the effort.
Apparently, the song did make an impression, because Shawna The Dead asked me later than evening if I'd be interested in coming back and performing during goth night. Hell yeah, those goth boys are adorable!
The best part of the night was realizing just how many wonderful friends had come out to see me perform. Robert and Raj were the first to arrive (although Raj had to run home as he had forgotten his ID). Oh to be so youthful looking! Scott got there next and was immediately escorted to the VIP section. While I was getting ready backstage the rest of the gang filed in. Michael and Austin were there attracting the paparazzi. Brian and Craig came out of hibernation and brought Dana and Dave along for the ride. Heck, even Peppa Roni and Randi Rotted Ho made an appearance!
Well, the festivities didn't stop there. I had worked up quite an appetite during my performances, so the Luscious Lane offered to bring me out for a late night bite. We ended up at Cahoots, a straight bohemian bar in the Highlands that serves food until 3 am. I don't think the patrons there had ever seen someone with quite as much style before. They seemed rather alarmed and standoffish at first. However, they did eventually warm up to me and several even came over and introduced themselves in between courses of stuffed jalapenos and fried fish sandwiches.
On our way out, Lane stopped in the men's room and was confronted by one of the other partons. "You know that's not a real woman, right?" Billy Bob asked Lane. Of course I'm not a real woman; I'm a showgirl! He then asked Lane what he was going to do with me to which Lane responded, "I'm going to take the lady home." "You need any help with that?" Billy Bob offered as Lane backed cautiously out of the men's room. "No, I think I've got it covered," he answered. Naturally, I've been back to Cahoots every night this week.
Well, I'm thrilled that my Looseville debut was a smashing success and I'm so looking forward to my next opportunity to get on the stage. I'll keep y'all posted if anything comes of this goth night gig.
Smooches,
Daph
